The MIST Cup |
The MIST Cup is an informal 5-a-side football competition for participants at the annual Spring MIST meeting. It was first run in 2001 at the Jorvik MIST in York. Match reports of previous tournaments are available from the MIST website. Teams change from year to year based on region, funding source, the whim of organisers, etc. This year budding UKSP football stars were invited to join the MIST tournament. The competition was held at the Pleasance Sport Centre, a 15 minute walk from the conference venue Pollock Halls (see map). There were 6 teams competing - see Teams List. The tournament had a group stage and then play-off matches to determine placings - see Match Results for a full breakdown of matches, groups tables and scores. |
The eventual victors were Sheffield/St. Andrews who beat Edinburgh/Glasgow 2-0 in the final.
